Customer Service Representative

Nexicom is a local Telecommunications provider with 125 years of experience.

We need enthusiastic individuals that are willing to give Exceptional Customer Service, to fill full time Customer Service Positions.

Position Overview:

Primary responsibilities may include:

  • Serving customers at the counter or over the phone in respect to payments, billing inquiries and service issues;
  • Selling, analyzing and advising on appropriate packages for telephone services, toll, Internet, security or cable tv;.
  • Arrange new service installs, changes of service and disconnects;
  • enter new accounts in billing program and in applicable databases;
  • process paperwork regarding orders; schedule service orders with customer and dispatch to ensure due dates are met; and send information packages out to new customers;
  • Liaise with Third Party personnel in the provisioning and troubleshooting of select services;
  • Ensure accurate records are precisely maintained and followed up;
  • Prepare adjustments to customer accounts;
  • Process sales, prepare paperwork for activation of service where necessary, and reconcile invoicing from supplier;
  • Basic troubleshooting and prepare trouble tickets where necessary;
  • Process payments to billing system;
  • Ensure customer retention and satisfaction;
  • Proactively manage and resolve customer satisfaction issues;
  • Maintaining service levels and achieving business and performance goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Customer service/inside sales experience
  • Demonstrated ability in self-motivation with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Programs

above average keyboarding skills

  • Ideally you possess a post-secondary education (or and equivalent combination of training and experience)

Helpdesk Representative

We are currently seeking a Permanent full-time Internet Help Desk Representative.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Trouble Shooting customers Internet connectivity issues;
  • Assisting all customers with account inquiries at the counter, over the phone or via e-mail,
  • Taking applications for new services and keep customer history current
  • Inputting new customer billing and payment information into billing systems for basic services as required
  • Providing back up to the Support Team with regards to data entry of telephone programming codes, preparing trouble tickets and locate requests
  • The position requires a well-spoken, articulate, pleasant-mannered and flexible, individual with effective listening and analytical skills who delivers excellence in customer service with a professional approach to customers and staff.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work amongst our 3 locations, Millbrook, Peterborough and Lakefield. Qualifications:
  • Minimum entry level post secondary education with some specialization in computers and the internet. (wireless, DSL & Cable)
  • 1 to 2 years of previous experience in an office environment using business tool
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills;
  • A positive, friendly attitude with the willingness and ability to assist our customers and promote our services;
  • Ability to learn and share information with others and able to work in a team environment a must;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while effectively managing multiple tasks
  • Experience in a structured team environment. Help Desk experience is an asset;
  • Data entry, PC repair and maintenance
  • Experience setting up WIFI and Email on mobile devices;
  • Working knowledge of Windows OS from Windows XP to Windows 10, Apple OS knowledge is an asset;
  • Internet and Basic Networking knowledge is an asset;
  • Working knowledge of the Internet, Internet technologies, and technological/industry trends, as well as personal computers, e-mail and operating systems, dial-up and high-speed Internet connectivity;

Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist

We need an enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist.

Key objectives of this position, is to develop and execute brand marketing programs and plans to meet financial targets and increase profitability of the supported businesses ( Nexicom Inc., Nexicom Systems and Lansdowne Telephone) The successful candidate will have traditional and digital marketing know-how and play an important role in supporting the development and execution of marketing strategies and plans that support annual targets and long-term strategies. Your ability to oversee multiple priorities and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be a key measure of success.
