Please Read: IMPORTANT Announcement from Nexicom Inc. regarding rate increase.

For decades Nexicom and other independent Internet Service Providers (ISP) have had an agreement with Bell Canada that allow Nexicom to lease the copper loop infrastructure that provides your current telecommunications connections.

Regrettably, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) Decision 2018-200 has unregulated this service and Bell has announced that effective June 1, 2019, the cost we pay for this leased service increased over 100%. While we have deferred implementing a pricing increase for the past five months, we can no longer absorb this egregious price increase from Bell.

Effective January 1, 2020 the cost of your current Nexicom service will increase by $30.00 per month.

What does this mean to you, our customer?

As a result of the CRTC’s decision and Bell’s subsequent rate increase, we regret to inform you that a $30.00 wholesale loop charge will be added to your monthly Nexicom bill, beginning January 1, 2020.

What can we do to help you save on your telecommunications costs?

At Nexicom it is our goal to provide the highest quality products and services at the best possible rates. We understand this increase is significant, but we are pleased to offer some alternate options if you convert to a cable provided telephone or internet service. Please call us before December 14th to learn more about how we can help.
